How cost per wear works
Cost per wear is the price divided by the number of times you wear something. A piece you wear twice a week for four years is worn over 400 times, so even an expensive one can cost very little each time.
- Be honest about how often you’ll wear it: it’s the number that matters most.
- Classic pieces in neutral colours tend to be worn for longer.
- Looking after clothes, and repairing them, lowers cost per wear further.
